HAVE you ever ridden in a horse-drawn carriage? Though they have largely been replaced by cars around the world, some people still view them as the perfect way to celebrate romantic occasions. For example, Valentine’s Day is said to be the peak time for horse-drawn carriage rides in New York City. However, the practice has become a bit controversial, with some US celebrities joining animal welfare activists in protesting the use of horse-drawn carriages.
