Halsey has returned, giving fans their first taste of upcoming album Hopeless Fountain Kingdom. The 22-year-old US pop singer released the first single from her second album on April 4. The song, titled Now or Never, could be described as a slow burn. Halsey’s electro-pop vocals (音乐作品) are set against a steady (平稳的) beat, and with lyrics like “Never pick up, never call me”, it’s definitely bound to play on your emotions. And it gets even better – Halsey marks her first time as a director with the release of the song’s video. “[It] is one part in the center of a long narrative (叙事) that tells the story of two people in love, despite the forces trying to keep them apart,” she told Rolling Stone.
