Josephine Tey was a pseudonym (笔名) used by Scottish author Elizabeth MacKintosh (1896-1952). Tey loved to use her novels to show that things are very often not what they seem, and that people are easily fooled. She encouraged people to be curious (好奇的) and not accept something as truth without asking questions first.
