Trump’s popularity plummets in polls

本文作者: 21ST
With just three weeks to go before the landmark 2016 US presidential election, the real estate and entertainment *mogul Donald Trump’s chances of becoming the “leader of the free world” are becoming increasingly slim. On Oct 8, The Washington Post broke the news about a recording made in 2005 in which the Republican candidate made shockingly *lewd remarks about women. Trump appeared to brag about being allowed to sexually *assault women due to his fame, and was also heard making several *derogatory comments. The recording was made when Trump was speaking to a TV host while filming an entertainment show, without realizing that his *microphone was on. While Trump sought to dismiss the tape as “locker room banter” – meaningless bragging between two men – it appears to have hurt his campaign like no other *preceding scandal has, with many leading Republican politicians either withdrawing their support for Trump, or *outright *denouncing him. Moreover, a handful of women have come forward accusing Trump of sexually harassing them or trying to assault them in the past. Trump has denied all of these *allegations, seeking instead to turn the *spotlight back onto rival Hillary Clinton’s email scandal, as well as the extra-marital affairs of her husband, the former president Bill Clinton.21st
