　　Background information

　　CELC was established in 1979. The Centre aims to develop students’ communication skills for academic and professional purposes, providing training in English for specific purposes and research issues related to language teaching and learning. This year, the Centre is inviting hundreds of colleagues from all over the world to participate in the symposium. It will combine classroom-based research paper presentations with small group discussions to give presenters and participants an enriching professional development experience.
