FALLING off a rich list can mean good things. When Forbes (《福布斯》杂志) released a list of the world’s billionaires on March 7, one name had disappeared: that of Harry Potter author, J.K. Rowling. But Rowling hadn’t made bad investments (投资) or wasted her money on crazy shopping. According to Forbes, the 45-year-old British author has paid huge British taxes and made a lot of donations to charity equivalent to about 1 billion yuan. She was banished from the list for giving a huge part of her fortune away. Perhaps her upcoming book for adults will bring her back onto the list.
