Since 1955, ILA has sponsored an annual linguistics conference to provide a forum for the exchange of ideas and research in progress among members of the international linguistic community. The Association publishes its journal, WORD, three times a year. Each issue contains articles and reviews. Occasionally, special issues on specific topics are produced.
