D1 1-3 DAB

D2 1-3 CDB

D3 1-3 BBC

D4 1-4 BCCD

D5 I. FTTFT  II. BFDAC

解析

D1

1. D. 根据The style of writing that Marquez and others are credited (归功于) with inventing, “magic realism”, shifted fiction away from naturalistic (自然主义的) storytelling into amazing worlds in which, it seemed, anything could happen可知AB两项错误,马尔萨斯作品中的奇幻现实主义风格是对南美文学传统写作风格的革命性挑战。C项与原文He thematizes (……为主题) political corruption (腐败), civil war and the negative influence of American big business不符。 A book filled with such strange things seems very silly. And indeed, the author wrote that it was difficult to find a style that would draw the reader in这句提到了马尔萨斯在写作奇幻现实主义作品中遇到的挑战,但是后文也提到了他通过特殊的处理让读者信服,从而把作品的奇幻风格的魅力发挥到了最大化。

2. A. 根据Here is a random selection of incidents from his novel: A baby is born with a pig’s tail; ice is discovered; a bathroom is haunted by ghosts可知A项正确。 A book filled with such strange things seems very silly,因此过于真实的描写都与奇幻现实主义的文学风格不符。

3. B. 根据It seems mastering this trick of his grandmother’s helped Marquez create one of the greatest literary works of the 20th century可知B项正确。

D2

1. C. 根据I was stunned (惊讶) into silenceAnd now, eight years after I left home and started a new life in the UK, I realized for the first time that my dad still has expectations for me to be like a princess and to maintain some dependency (依赖) and vulnerability (柔弱), which were considered virtues (美德) of women in traditional China可知面对父亲的关照,作者既惊讶又困惑。

2. D. 根据Little did Dad know, that over the three years of my university life, I moved flats five times all by myselfMeanwhile, living in the UK, a country currently led by a female prime minister, I have never thought there is anything girls cannot do可知作者在伦敦生活的过程中培养了独立自主的个性。

3. B. 根据This was not the father I remembered from childhood, who trained me to study hard at school, asked me to earn my own pocket money as a teenager at a local coffee shop, and even taught me household chores so my life alone in London wouldn’t turn into a mess可知作者感激父亲多年的严格要求和培养,这才使自己能够顺利融入海外生活。

D3

1. B. 根据But has it ever occurred to you that a wandering mind might be a good thing和后文的介绍可知本文主要是介绍走神的好处,开篇第一段就是利用读者的常识来引入话题。

2. B. 根据It turned out that mind-wandering is a talent that benefits our creativity可知B项正确,走神可以帮助我们提高创造力,从而改善表现。根据Its even been suggested that zoning out may have helped early humans survive in difficult conditions可知D项错误。

2. C。根据第三段“I was greatly excited during all this”、“I would go straight home and not give the matter another thought”可知答案为CA项作者只会用粉笔画线引导人们去寻找,不会大喊;B项作者未提及回家告知父母;D项作者不会逗留在原地,而是会径直离开。

If you visit Australia, you will probably go to Sydney or the beaches. But have you thought about visiting the outback?

Australia is a very big country, almost as large as China. But not many people live there. In fact, there are more people in Beijing than all of Australia. That means there is lots of empty space where there are not many cities or people. In Australia, this area is called the outback.

The outback is in the middle of the country, and Alice Springs is the biggest city in the outback. Many people go to Alice Springs to see Uluru.

Uluru, also known as Ayers Rock, is a beautiful big rock. It is sacred (神圣的) to the Australian native people, called Aboriginese, who live in the area.

Another great thing to see in the outback is Kakadu National Park. It is just north of Alice Springs and covers 22,000 square km. Birds, kangaroos, wallabies (小袋鼠), lizards (蜥蜴), crocodiles and snakes all live in Kakadu. If you sit quietly, you can see them drinking from the beautiful waterholes.

The natural beauty of the outback is very different to what you will see in a big city. At night you can see millions of stars in the sky.

If you are planning a holiday to Australia, the outback is worth a visit.
