D2 1-4 CBCD
D3 1-4 CBDC
D4 1-4 ABDD
D5 1-5 BDECF
解析
D1 1-3 ACD
1. A。 Moksh Jawa has already become a legend among students.
2. C。根据“All of my friends, especially the girls, were really, really afraid of computer science,” he said. But the subject and exam weren’t things to be feared, he said. “Computer science is all about logic, not about how smart you are.”
3. D。根据Jawa set about creating his own online course, with easy-to-follow lessons.以及“It’s always great to make it as clear and fun as possible, and to try to keep my voice as energetic as possible.”
The deer in the Palace Museum are here not only to be part of the exhibition, but also to act as ambassadors (大使) to attract visitors. Nine deer were introduced into the Forbidden City, also known as the Palace Museum, on Sept 26 and will make it their home until Febuary.
2. B。根据These products soon gained popularity on social media because they allowed people to wear a piece of history.
3. C。根据Workers aren’t allowed to wear any make-up or do their nails (指甲) because the chemicals (化学品) may damage the relics they’re working on, for example.
4. D。根据文章中的关键句urning itself into a temporary (临时的) zoo is the latest effort that the Museum has made at introducing academic (学术的) art to ordinary people.以及Little by little, the Palace Museum is shaking off stereotypes (刻板印象) of being an old-fashioned academic institution.
To come to their conclusion, the scientists studied photographs of nearly 50,000 eggs from 1,400 different species.
4. C。根据The scientists’ next step is to further explore the link between the eggs of modern-day birds and dinosaurs, which are the only other known animals to lay pointy eggs. A选项错在most,根据倒数第三段可以排除B选项,文章只是说powered flight and pointy eggs evolved around the same time,但不能据此判断pointy eggs出现在powered flight之前。
D4 1-4 ABDD

W: Yes, definitely. Guilin has so many great places to visit. I saw the dark waters of the Li River, and I really enjoyed the fresh air and blue sky. The best part was spending the day at Elephant Trunk Hill though – it was so breathtaking.
M: Oh, sounds great! I’m planning to go there this summer.
W: I suggest you do some research online about Guilin before you go there.

M: Yes, I used to be a tour guide for Chinese travelers.
W: Great. Now, what kind of salary were you expecting?
M: From what I’ve read, it seems that a starting pay would be around $12,000 a year.
W: Well here, you’d start at 10,500 for the first year – a kind of training period - then you’d go to $15,000.
M: That sounds fair enough. What do you think the chances of me getting a job here are?
W: Well, I’m talking to three people today and four tomorrow. We’ll be hiring two people. You’ll hear from us some time next month. Good luck, and thanks for coming in today.
Text 10
Abby Goldberg, 14, is working to save the environment - one bag at a time. She decided to take action after finding dozens of littered plastic bags all over her town of Grayslake, Illinois. Abby learned that state lawmakers were considering a bill that would keep towns from banning plastic bags. She talked to people about the bill and asked them to sign their names to show their disagreement with it, collecting more than 150,000 signatures. When the governor of Illinois said no to the bill, he called Abby to tell her the news. “It feels great knowing that I’ve had a big impact on my community,” she told TFK. Abby also said her mission now is to educate others about the harmful effects of plastic bags.
