2) Don’t be too picky about food. Some food may not taste great, but your body needs it.
3) Keep an eye on what food you have at home. Don’t buy too much, especially vegetables and fruit.
Q4.
Time to reduce food waste
Have you ever seen plates with leftovers piled high, the bin in the cafeteria filled with food waste, and uneaten food thrown into the trash can? It’s easy for us to take what we eat for granted and simply throw away our extra food.
However, food shortage is still a big problem worldwide. A big number of people in the world just don’t have enough to eat. Take Kenya for example. Because of the terrible droughts, people in the East African nation are suffering from starvation, with some of them even dying.
As is known to us all, food is a necessity for human beings to survive. Without food, human beings would never survive, let alone thrive. Despite this, most people don’t realize how much food they throw away every day. It’s estimated that one person throws out an average of 50 kg of food which is still edible each year. Sometimes we cook too much, or we don’t use it before it goes bad. If the wasted food were saved, it could feed lots of people.
Then what could we do to reduce food waste? We could start by changing our daily habits, such as avoiding ordering too much at a restaurant or buying too much in the supermarket, especially vegetables and fruit. I believe a small change makes a big difference. As long as each of us does our part, millions of tonnes of food can be saved.

D1
1-5 DCABB
2. C。本题答案位于第二段,根据“intolerance has a lot to do with ignorance”和“men don’t put themselves in the shoes of women”可知,人们没有意识到要宽容别人的原因是不能够站在他人的角度出发,进行换位思考,故答案为C。
3. A。根据“To agree to be “tolerant” of someone isn’t necessarily a very respectful thing.”以及 “When someone is tolerated, it implies that there's something wrong with them. “But it seems wrong that people should agree to “tolerate” people with black skin, for example.”
4. B。根据最后一段可知,this指代前文“We can give things to another person, and we can also give our forgiveness.”,而Bob Marley 也在歌词里写道要give a little,说明他理解了如何去宽容他人,故B正确。
2. D。由第六段“The event began unofficially in 2003, when a pair of men from Australia persuaded their friends to join them in growing a “mo” to raise awareness of male health issues.”
D3
1-3 DDB
1. D。根据“the smartest cetaceans hunt in groups, share knowledge through mimicry (模仿) and even care for each other’s children. Some even consider their behavior to be human-like.”
根据“The new study aims to find a common pathway for the evolution of intelligence among biologically different species.”
