D1 1-4 ACCD

D2 1-4 BACC

D3 1-3 DDD

D4 1-4 CDCD

D5 1. never/not      2. directly     3. which         4. what           5. enjoyable

6. the highest  7. could        8. the/this              9. were told    10. through

D1

1-4 ACCD

2. C。由第三段以及第四段的“Unlike many other students, she didnt struggle to understand Shakespeares words.”

3. C。由第倒数第四段的“so you dont have any other information about this person. I had to create a character”可以推知C为正确答案。

4. D。由倒数第三段“Hix said she learned that making a character feel alive in her heart is crucial to her performance.”

D2 1-4 BACC

1. B。根据“Some people think the show is typically British, with a good sense of humour and friendly people.”可知The Great British Bake Off 由“Each week, ordinary people compete to make the best cakes and bread within a time limit.”

2. A。根据前文“The competitors were all very friendly to each other”可知opponentscompetitors意思相近,故A正确。

3. C。根据“Viewers also really enjoyed learning how to make different types of cakes, biscuits and bread.”和“In 2016, over 14 million people watched the final episode of the show.”

The new show features new judges. 根据“the show underwent changes this year and new judges were introduced.”

根据“people can control nearly every electrical item in their homes from anywhere in the world.”

2. D。根据“This kind of system allows people to take care of themselves, which is the most important thing”可知,Abilia's system最大的优势在于可以让人们照顾自己,故D正确。

3. D。根据Poulson的回答“I think it would be difficult. When we go to a friend's house or on vacation we find ourselves expecting the house to do things for us that ours does”可知,当人们已经习惯于智能化的生活后,就能很难再回到过去的生活方式,故D正确。

D4 1-4 CDCD

1. C。根据文章第一段“I didn't really mind the work, but I wanted something more challenging”可知AB两项错误。由第一段的“The job was a seemingly perfect mix of my skills and interests, so I jumped at it.” 由该段“My sister sent me some details for a content management position with a digital (数字的) reading startup”可知D项与文中描述不合,下文也提到了她没有销售经验,所以不可能是sales manager, 所以不对。

2. D。根据文章第23段和“everything about my position changed”,“I knew jumping out of the nest was the right thing for me”两句话可知,作者在进入新的公司后自己的工作发生了很大变化,由于这些变化,自己不得不跳出“舒适圈”,因此可知D为正确答案。

Text 1:

M: Hi, Sally! Are you free this weekend? I’ve got two tickets for the Adele concert. Would you like to join me?

W: Thanks, but I’m going to work on my paper all weekend. Ask Helen to go with you.

M: OK. Let’s do something together soon though.

Text 2:

M: How much is the pen?

W:Three dollars for one, or five dollars for two. If you buy three, the third one will be only one dollar.

M:Then I’ll take three.

Text 3

W: So, what do you usually do in your free time?

M: At the moment I’m spending a lot of my free time learning German. I also enjoy playing the piano.

W: Not any sports, like tennis or football?

M: Not much. But I go to the gym and work out once a week.

Text 4:

W: Paul, that’s a lovely painting in your living room.

M: I'm glad you like it. It’s one of my son’s. He’s at art school.

W: Wow, it's beautiful. Your son’s talented and has very good taste.

Text 5:

M: Hey, honey! Dominic’s birthday’s coming. I’m thinking of taking a trip to celebrate it.

W: Good idea! Where would you like to go?

M: Well, it’s his 18th birthday. Let’s choose a special place for him.

W: How about a trip to China? He’s so eager to see the Great Wall.

Text 6:

W: Hello, English Language Center.

M: Hello. Sarah? This is Jacob.

W: Jacob? Jacob? Hi. You sound terrible. How are you doing?

M: Oh, I have a bad cold, and I threw up three times this morning.

W: That sounds awful.

M: Yep. Could I take today off? I think if I rest today, I'll be ready for tomorrow.

W: Sure. We'll see if we can get another teacher to cover your classes.

M: Oh, that'd be great. Thanks.

W: Alright. Take care. You sound terrible. Hope you're better by tomorrow.

M:Ah, thanks.

Text 7:

W: Dad, can I go to a movie with Sharon?

M: Yeah, sure, but wait… Weren't you supposed to get a report card sometime this past week?

W: Well, oh yeah. Can I call Sharon now?

M: Uh-hum. You didn't answer my question. Did you receive it or not?

W: Well, my English teacher is soooo boring, and he gets angry every time someone talks.

M: In other words, you're not doing very well?

W: Uh, a C… minus.

M: Oh. Well, how are you doing in your Spanish class? You said you liked that one.

W: Well, I do, but I forgot to turn in a couple of assignments, and I had problems on the last test. All those verbs confused me. I get them all mixed up in my head!

M: OK, and what about math?

W: Ah, I'm good at that class.

M: And how are you doing in history?

W: Oh, that's my favorite class. Mr Jones always gives out candy if you know the answers to his questions. Dad. Can I go now?

M: You can go if you answer my history question. How old am I?

W: Uh, 55?

M: Fifty-five! You just failed a math and history test at the same time!

W: Dad . . .

M: Well, OK, but you need to come straight home from the movie, and you need to practice your violin.

W: Oh, Dad.

Text 8:

W: Hello, 911, what’s your emergency?

M: Help. Help. Please help me!

W: Yes sir. Please calm down and explain exactly what is happening.

M: Calm down? My car broke down on the freeway, I have a lady passenger, and she's feeling pain in her chest.

W: Now relax sir. Explain exactly where you are.

M: I'm . . . I'm in the southbound lane of the Lincoln Expressway, about 15 miles from the Washington Tunnel, and this lady isn't going to wait.

W:OK. What's your name sir, and your passenger's?

M: It's ... it's Bob, and I have no idea about the woman. She's in no condition to tell me.

W: OK, now what's the nearest building to your location? Pay careful attention.

M: Umm, I see golden arches . . . McDonalds.

W: OK, is there anyone else with you?

M: No, and I've tried to get people to stop.

W: I've just arranged an ambulance to come to your location. They should be there any minute.

M: OK. Is there anything I can do while we wait for the ambulance?

W: Yes, uh, keep her calm and don’t move her.

M: OK. Please hurry.

Text 9:

W: Hello. Today I'm interviewing Joshua on his experiences going to a Japanese school. Now Joshua, what time do you start school each day?

M: Eight O'clock.

W: Eight O'clock. And do you go by yourself, or on a school bus?

M: No, I have a group that goes with me.

W: So you go with a group?

M: Uh-huh.

W: Now what kinds of things do you take to school?

M: I take my taiso fuku, that’s gym clothes, and I take my backpack and my books and stuff like that.

W: OK, and what’s the first thing you do when you get to school?

M: We do "kiritsu, rei." It means, "stand up, bow."

W: I see. That’s, “stand up and bow.”

M: Uh-huh.

W: And what do you study at school?

M: We study kokugo, that’s writing and reading and stuff like that, and sansu, that's math. And, let's see … we do gym too.

W: OK, and where do you eat lunch? Do you have a lunchroom or cafeteria?

M: No, we eat in our classroom.

W: You eat in your classroom? Oh, wow. That’s very interesting. Now what time do you come home from school?

M: We come home sometimes at 3:00 and sometimes at 2:00.

W: OK, well thank you very much, Joshua.

Text 10:

Here are the top stories today:

A giant crocodile attacked a man walking his dog along a river in Australia. Fortunately, the man beat the beast back with a rock, and the man's dog bit the crocodile on the face. Both man and dog suffered minor injuries but are expected to recover.

Next, a huge tornado caught a woman who was trapped in her vehicle, carrying her a quarter of a mile from town. The woman suffered a broken leg and minor neck injuries, but she was more worried about her cat, which was swept away by the storm. She's offering a $1,000 reward to anyone who returns the cat to her.

And finally, a Canadian family of four got lost trying to drive across a mountain pass in a snowstorm and was stuck for a week, surviving on just a banana, cheese crackers, and a cooked ham. Temperatures dropped to fifteen below zero as the family stayed warm by singing Christmas carols. The family was finally rescued after the father hiked 15 miles to get help.

And that's the news today.
