解析
D1
1. D。 But Hopkins conquered this problem, and she even set an example for others in similar situations to her own. She began to advocate a culture that said: “Embrace who you are; a person with social rights, who has an opinion, who has interests, who has goals, who loves life, and who will not be without a voice in society”. A选项错在poor family。
People who are subject to ethnic discrimination can have the same problem.
3. C。根据He began to grow his hair long to emphasize its difference from the hair of his white classmates. This was about pride in being black可知选C。
D2
However, she insists on doing what she loves and encourages more competition. Carr-Hicks said she’s noticed that most of the top teams compete in more than one national competition. A项的10 years ago不对,由第五段的“Now the group is preparing for its biggest challenge yet when it takes part in the Show Choir Nationals in Nashville,”可知B项不对;文中没有提及合唱队一开始就获得了学生父母们的大力支持,所以C项不对。
2. B。从“Not everyone in a drama club is a skilled actor, but enthusiasm is considered to be more important than talent”可知在戏剧俱乐部中,演员的热情远比才华重要。
3. C。从“The audience is encouraged to participate in the performance - singing along with the music and shouting to the actors”可知C正确,观众们能在Pantomimes里和演员互动。
D4
1. B。 根据第五段it was discovered that if the mice were unable to smell their food, they gained no weight可知,科学家发现闻不到食物气味的小鼠不会增重,故B正确。由he initially believed that mice with no sense of smell wouldn’t enjoy food as much and end up eating less 可知,科学家最初的猜测是没有嗅觉的小鼠吃的更少,但是事实并非如此,故A错误。 根据“supersmellers” put on the most weigh可知,嗅觉灵敏的小鼠增重最多,D选项错误。
3. C。根据倒数第三段the findings could play a role in solving health problems, such as obesity可知C正确。
D5
I.
When we go traveling, many of us like to bring a camera and take some photos of the place we’re visiting. But in Bravuogn, a beautiful town in Switzerland, you can't do that anymore. Taking photos is not allowed in the town, reported the Daily Mail. And if do you take a picture, you’ll be fined 5 Swiss francs (35 yuan).
The rule came after a recent study about technology damaging (破坏) people's traveling experiences. It showed that nearly half of the travelers said social media had a bad influence on their holiday. That's because they always feel the need to post photos on social media.
In this way, the town hopes that all its travelers will enjoy more of the experience itself, focusing on the beautiful scenery during their visit.
