D2 1-4 DCCC
D3 1-3 BCAD
D4 1-5 BEDGF
D1 1-3 CAC
1. C。根据第二段vernacular (本地的) authenticity and rhythmic dynamism that offers affecting vignettes (小片段) capturing the complexity of modern African-American life.” 以及第四段的“Translation: It’s an amazing album that documents South Los Angeles black life with wildly accomplished beats and verses (篇章).”
2. A。根据Lamar’s win is considered to be historical. 以及So it’s not just that no rapper has ever won a Pulitzer: no pop music maker has ever won one in the award’s 75-year history.
3. C。根据“One of the bigger themes in our film is this idea of, ‘What does it mean to be African?’ Kendrick in his music is very directly challenging that question.”
2. C。由第三段“Last year, Galaxy launched Cat Pawsitive, a program that encourages animal shelters to teach cats how to do tricks to make them more attractive for adoption (领养). Shelters across the US, including the KC Pet Project, have been participating.”以及第九段““We help those cats to feel more confident, to feel safe interacting with new people…”
4. D。由倒数第四段“In the initial (最初的) stages, we get the cat used to the idea that when it hears the sound of the clicker, one of its favorite treats appears”可知D为正确答案。

Text 2
W: So, can we get the computers before Wednesday?

W: Of course. We offer an overnight service. That’s the fastest service we have.
Text 4
W: Can you explain it to me clearly on the phone?

W: Thank you for shopping at Primarni. Your total is $120. Would you like a plastic bag for your clothes?
M: No, thanks. But I need to shorten these pants. Do you provide a tailoring service?

M: I understand. So when can I can pick up the pants?
W: Well, I think tomorrow should be OK.
Text 7
W: What’s up, Michael? You look down today.
M: I got a C again on the English exam. What do you think I should do?
W: Well, when it comes to English, its biggest enemy is practice.
M: I did practice a lot though. I did lots of reading comprehension exercises every day.
W: Well, I suggest that you read aloud more often, and try to speak more. This’ll help cultivate your sense of the language, which is essential for English learning.
M: I see. I’ll give it a try.
Text 8
W: Mario’s Bistro. May I help you?
M: Yes, do you have vegetarian options on your menu?

M: That’s great! Second, will you be able to seat a group of 20 people at one table?
W: That shouldn’t be a problem.
M: One last question. Is 7:00 pm on the second Saturday in October available?
W: Let me take a quick look. Yes, sir, it is. If you give me your name and number, I’ll hold it for you.
M: That’s fantastic! My name is Andrew Bower, and my home number is 555-1212.
Text 9
M: Have you seen the list of books for this course?
W: Yes. Dr Lee said he expected us to have the first five on the list. He’s going to discuss them in detail.
M: Are you going to buy them?
W: I don’t know. These books are expensive. And I don’t have much money right now.
M: How about we share them?
W: Sounds good.
M: Let’s do this. I’ll buy three and you can buy the other two.
W: Sure. How about we split the cost 50-50 for the books now. And at the end of the course, you can take the books you find the most interesting and I’ll take the ones I like.
M: What if we both like the same books?
W: Come on! We’re not going to argue over books, are we?
M: I was only joking. It’s definitely a good idea.
W: Great. Let’s get the books now.
Text 10
W: Hello and welcome to Book Talk. Today, I’m going to talk about a couple of books you can read during the holidays. I have three suggestions for you this week. First, if you enjoy reading science fiction, there’s an exciting new book by Alan Cooper called Shallow Earth. It takes place in a future where the planet has almost been destroyed. The main characters are a group of soldiers who are fighting to save the Earth from total destruction. But if you prefer something romantic, there’s Give Me Shelter by Kathleen Wang. It’s an historical novel set in China that tells the story of two teenagers growing up in Shanghai in the 1930s. They decide to run away together after their families try to stop them from seeing each other. Finally, there’s Jump For The Stars, a biography of one of the Houston Rockets’ most popular players: Tracy McGrady. The book is about how he started his NBA career, who had the greatest effect on his life, and how he’s made his fortune by doing what he loves. That’s all for Book Talk this week. See you next week and keep reading.
21-25 DCBAC 26-30 ACDBD 31-35 BBCAA
A
根据文中说Sparky的卡通人物后来成为文化现象,其原因是:“People readily identified with this “lovable loser”. He reminded people of the painful and embarrassing moments from their own past, of their pain and their shared humanity.”
24. A。文中第四段“One thing was important to Sparky, however - drawing. He was proud of his artwork. No one else appreciated it. But that didn't seem to matter to him. ... Despite that, Sparky was convinced of his ability. He even decided to become an artist.”以及第六段“But Sparky still didn't give up.”
B
25. C。根据文中“The problem doesn't lie in increased heat, however, but in lower humidity”可判断答案为C,同时排除A,即可可树难以生长主要是由于湿度不够。
26. A。根据文章“it would spend $1 billion to help reduce its contribution to climate change”一句可知答案为A。
C
28. D。由第二段中“According to the BuzzFeed website, young people use and hear ‘you're welcome’ sarcastically.”
30. D。最后段中BuzzFeed说“Just reply to ‘thank you’ by saying ‘thank you’ back.”
31. B。本文分析了thank you的三种常见回答“you are welcome”、“no problem”和“no worries”,指出它们在人们心中的隐含意义,最终得出结论用“thank you”回答“thank you”是最好的答案。
33. C。由第三段的“It started in the 1990s when The Americans With Disabilities Act was passed in the US, making sure that all elevators stayed open long enough so that people with disabilities could enter.” 由第三段的“Only US firefighters and maintenance workers can use the buttons to speed up the door-closing process if they have a code or special keys.”
34. A。上文提到了电梯里的关闭按钮具有的作用,“According to psychologists, fake buttons can actually make you feel better by offering you a sense of control.”“Perceived control is very important. It reduces stress and increases well-being”,所以这里进一步举例说明其他按钮也有相同的功能,所以答案为A。
35. A。由最后一段的“Even though I have real doubts about the traffic light buttons, I always press them. After all, I've got nothing else to do while waiting.”
41-45 BCADA 46-50 DCBCC 51-55 BBADD 56-60 ABACD
41 B。 be lost走丢。
另外可根据下文the young leopard stops his attack得以验证。
52. B。look for 寻找,head after追赶,stare at盯着,escape from从......
