2019-04-01

D1 1-4 ACCD

D2 1-4 CBDA

D3 1-5 BDAGE

D1:

1. A。从“the image of a man wearing a white spacesuit always comes to mind”和下文强调这次任务是全女性参与来推测,航天任务通常是男性占主导的,dominated的意思是“占主导,主控”,意思最接近的是control

2. C。从“Their mission will be to upgrade the space station’s power system with new batteries”可知C正确。

3. C。从“are less sensitive to heat, cold, pain and noise”可知C正确。AB文中没有提到,文中只说到women deal with loneliness better than men,而不是stressD错误。

4. D。从“more varied spacewalks for a long time to come”可判断D正确。

D2:

1. C。根据文章第一段“Not a natural tsunami, but a family one.”

2. B。根据文章第四段“Japan seemed to be helping them find their identities”可知,在日本旅行的过程中,孩子们不断发现并认知自我,因为答案为B,更好地了自己。

4. A。根据文章最后一段“I whispered, for the first time in a long time, ‘Thank you’.”

Dear Jack,

I learned about your trouble from the website and I’m sorry that you are having such a hard time. I’m writing to offer some solutions.

In my opinion, it’s very common for students to feel under pressure before exams. For me, sometimes the pressure was so unbearable that anger would arise. But I know, being angry only led to bad scores.

However, this can be controlled if you take useful measures. First, turn to teachers for help. They will not only solve your academic problems but also offer their guidance on your personal life. Second, remember to save some time for leisure. Last but not least, keep a positive attitude toward all the obstacles in life so you can have a better chance to succeed.

I hope you will find these suggestions practical. I’m looking forward to your reply.

Yours,

Li Hua

Text 1

W: The advertisement says that if I use the product I will lose a lot of weight.

M: I don’t really believe in ads. What they really want is to get your money away from you.

W: I couldn’t agree more.

Text 2

W: Bob, could you turn off the TV?

M: Why? I’ve been looking forward to watching this basketball game for a week.

W: But the noise is stopping me from sleeping. Would you mind turning it down?

Text 3

W: Does your son go to school by bike or on foot?

M: Neither. I drive him to school for safety reasons.

Text 4

W: Why didn’t you come to my birthday party yesterday?

M: I had planned to go but my son fell ill and I had to stay at home and take care of him. I’m sorry I didn’t call you.

W: It doesn’t matter.

Text 5

M: Where does our new classmate, Mike, come from?

W: He was born in the USA and grew up in Australia. But now he is a British citizen.

M: Wow! You know so much about him.

Text 6

M: Hi Susan. What are you doing here?

W: Oh, Tom. I’m getting ready for my husband’s birthday party tonight. Since we have many guests coming for dinner, I’m going to make a big cake. So I need to buy a few things.

M: Really? It must be a special day for him. What type of cake will you make? Chocolate, cheese or something else?

W: I am going to make a cream cake with strawberries.

M: That sounds delicious!

Text 7

M: Kate, if your papers continue to come late, I’ll give you a failing grade for this course.

W: I’m sorry. But there have been a lot of things going on recently.

M: What happened to you?

W: I’m moving out of my house and my mother is in the hospital.

M: I’m sorry to hear that. But I’m afraid you need to try a little harder. OK?

W: I promise I’ll hand in my paper on time next week.

M: Well, I’ll give you another chance. Don’t let me down.

Text 8

M: Mom, I just got a call for a job interview.

W: That’s really great news. What kind of company?

M: A clothing company. I also applied to a computer company, but I haven’t got a reply yet.

W: I see. You should surf the internet to get information about the company. Another good idea would be to think up some questions to ask at the interview.

M: I know. But I’m not sure whether I should admit to the interviewer that I have faults.

W: If you take my advice, you will say nothing at all about faults.

M: So should I pretend not to have any limitations?

W: The best thing to do would be to stress how you seek to improve yourself. By the way, when is it?

M: It’s at 8:00 tomorrow morning.

W: So you should arrive 15 minutes early. And you should wear a formal suit.

M: OK. I’ll go to bed early tonight. Thank you, Mom.

Text 9

M: Hi! You seem busy.

W: Hi! You can’t imagine all the work I have to finish! This English course is so difficult! I have to finish reading a novel by next Monday and hand in a 3000-word book review by next Friday.

M: So you can’t come to an exhibition with me this Saturday?

W: I’d love to, but I am already lagging behind in my writing because I had a cold for a week and missed a few lessons. You seem to have loads of free time.

M: Well, we just don’t have as much work as you. There is so much going on at my college. The art students can see all kinds of performances.

W: Yes. I’m bored with this life of reading and writing every day.

M: Hey. Why don’t you just get on with your work? If you finish everything by the 16th, we can go to that new play.

W: OK. I’ll try. I don’t want to miss the student party on the 28th, so I’d better get working.

Text 10

Hello! My name is Francis. I used to play the violin in the National Orchestra, but now I’ve begun a new career. I’ve always loved music. I started to play the violin when I was 7 years old, but I mostly played for fun. I never thought about music as a career until my last year of high school. I studied it in the City Youth Orchestra, and our conductor helped me get a scholarship for the Academy of Music. Then I joined the National Orchestra. We spent most days practicing, and sometimes we had concerts in five different cities in one week. After a while I got tired of the routine—the same concerts, the same conductor, the same big audience that I could never see clearly. I really wanted to play music that’s more personal. So last year, with three other musicians, I started a band to play music at weddings. I love it! The music we play is so wonderful! People get a really beautiful feeling from it. I still enjoy playing in the orchestra, but I enjoy playing at weddings more.

A

21. A。根据第一段的“Museum fans with limited time should consider ...”

22. B。第二段的“If the regular weekly closing day falls on ...” 根据第三段“Some museums have extended hours on certain days (typically Fridays)”可知C不正确。

23. B。根据文中对National Museum of Western Art的介绍“Admission is free on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of each month”可知B正确。

24. D。由文中对Tokyo National Museum的介绍“They house the largest collection of national treasures”可知D正确。由“As the oldest and largest museum in Japan ...” National Science Museum

B

25. D。根据文章第八段“She thinks my husband and I do too much for her.”

26. B。根据文章倒数第五段“The longer you live, the more you see how often things go wrong.” 根据文章倒数第六段“I didn't fully understand it then”可知作者当时并没有完全理解朋友的话,排除ACD两项在文中未提及。

27. C。根据文章最后一段“It took a lot of time to help me understand that giving is an expression of joy as much as it is an expression of love.”

第三段话锋一转,“So would it be a good idea to reintroduce the game to todays world?”

29. C。由第五段的“But these companies didnt just simply copy from the past they managed to update the old version and adapt it for the modern world.”

30. A。由倒数第四段Thomas Ricker的话“weve become a world obsessed (沉迷的) with looking backward for lazy sources of joy”可以推知,他认为利用人们的怀旧情结来牟利,会让人们沉溺于一种懒惰的取乐方式中,意思是人们有可能不再追求创新,所以答案为A
