D1
1. D。根据第二段中“The University of Cambridge said in March that it has been using scores on gaokao as part of its admission criteria for Chinese students for several years, according to its official weibo account.”
2. C。联系上下文“Internet users have broadly welcomed the move, saying this is a blessing for Chinese students who want to enter the university, though the bar is set high, according to China Daily.”
3. B。根据文中““We are aware of the many criticisms (批评) that have been made of the gaokao .... But it has the advantage of being what educational experts call a ‘criterion-referenced (标准参照)’ exam: It tests whether students are able to master a given body of knowledge, as well as their ability to work hard and consistently.”
4. C。根据文中“there is a long way to go before the US education circle fully recognizes the gaokao, as there are still many US universities that don’t accept it as part of their application process”可知,答案选C。

D2
1. A。根据第二段“After a few days, they freely texted and watched videos in class. When not sleeping, one young woman played phone games at her desk. She even wore earphones!”
2. C。文中“This issue transcends generations, however.”
3. C。根据倒数第三段中“I created new activities where students stood, walked around and talked to each other. I also gave them creative projects that required smartphones”可知,在学生迷恋手机的情况下,作者没有杜绝用手机或者惩罚学生,反而设计了一些让学生积极参与的课堂活动,以及一些需要学生用手机才能完成的活动来适应这种形势,故选C。

D4
1. C。根据文章“the pain and strong desire to die”可知,作者那段时间情绪一直很消沉,难以支撑,因此答案为C。
2. A。 由第六段“Every week I added a few different people to my delivery route, baked a few different kinds of cookies.”
4. C。通读全文,以及“It reminded me that there is beauty in being kind.”

One possible version:
Some people believe that household duties can improve independence in teenagers and teach them practical skills. But others consider housework to be valueless for teenagers and not particularly beneficial in terms of improving their academic achievements.
In my view, these two beliefs reflect differences of opinion in education theory. In my opinion, housework offers students precious opportunities to adapt to the real world, where diverse experience is more important than exam results. For example, making dumplings with my parents, which has nothing to do with my studies, has given me many interesting things to talk about with foreign friends. In addition, it made me think about how to make the best-looking dumplings, which got me thinking about how I can do my best in my studies as well.
In short, I believe housework can help teenagers grow and should not be seen as a waste of time or effort.

A
21. B。 The activities are various and suitable for both young children and adults. But with every attraction, there is a high price to pay for these attractions. Follow a few simple steps to make your Disneyland vacation affordable and fun for the whole family.
Plan a trip in March or October to catch the cool weather and avoid large crowds.
23. A。 Find a hotel with free shuttle service. Several nearby hotels offer free transportation to and from Disneyland.

She was always thinking about who might enjoy what和第三段第一句 Thoughtfulness and creativity went into the gifts she gave. 根据第一段的The occasion never mattered可排除C。
26. C。根据she didn't come from a gift-giving background 以及my mother made up (编)some fine stories.

根据“more than one and you are lower-middle at best; more than two and you are definitely working class”可知,在英国一般阶级低,他们喝茶的时候就会放很多糖,可以推出阶级高的人喝茶不放糖,所以D正确;根据“drinking smoky black…can be a sign of class worries in the middle class”可知这是针对中产阶级的,而且原文是不加奶,所以A错误;根据“The tea gets weaker as one goes up the social ladder.”
根据“Britons' preferences for types of tea and how to drink it can really say a lot about them.”,可知,英国人喝茶的喜好和方式可以传递出他们的信息—文章主要是讲了和阶层相关的信息,所以C正确,telling指“反映或显露真实情况的”;A选项文中没有提到。

According to the findings, ants use visual (视觉的) memories of their environment and the sun’s position to find their way home. And they can even do it while traveling backwards.
But if they stayed too long in the backward position, they would miss the correct turn to reach the nest. Ants with small pieces of cookie walked forward and cleared the 90-degree turn just fine.

pull up(使)停下;ring up 给……打电话;speed up 加速;go up 上升,增长。
48. C。wonder
49. B。从选项后面“I could see her in full length”可以知道,作者希望她能走出车子。
make an arrangement 做安排;make a fortune 赚大钱;make a settlement 支付,结帐;解决,和解;make a contract 签订合同。
signal(给人警告、 信息等的)信号器或信号物。
