写作:
A survey was recently conducted to evaluate our students’ physical fitness. It turned out that 32 percent of students are either overweight or underweight. Besides, 89 percent of students are in a poor eyesight condition.
The major factors that have contributed to the afore-mentioned phenomenon may be summarized as follows. On one hand, students who lack proper guidance tend to eat whatever they want, which results in poor nutrition. On the other hand, some students may not have adequate rest due to the large amount of homework. In addition, spending too much time on cellphones or video games is also an important factor.
It is high time for us to take appropriate actions to end this trend. First, we should educate parents about how to control their children’s eating and exercise habits and help them understand the bad effects of being over- or underweight. In addition, the students themselves should develop good habits, such as making sure to exercise regularly and avoid junk food. Last but not least, students should control the time they spend on cellphones. In these ways, we can improve the students’ physical fitness.

Text 1
M: I had a very strange dream last night that I won a competition.
W: Oh, really? What did you win? Money? A new car?
M: I won a holiday on a desert island. I hope my dream comes true one day!

Text 2
W: Look, it’s already eight. Tom said he’d be here by seven.
M: Yes, but you know what the traffic is like this time of night.
W: He said he wouldn’t be late. Why does he always do this? I’ve had enough this time.

Text 3
M: Have Mike and Susan set a date for leaving?
W: Not yet. But Mike said they’d like to leave this Friday or next Monday.
M: I’d like to see them off at the airport. Will you go with me?
W: Sure. I’ll ask for the day off on Wednesday.

Text 4
M: My shoulder’s been hurting for a couple of weeks now ever since I moved that heavy desk by myself.
W: That doesn’t sound good. You should go and see a doctor as soon as possible.

Text 5
W: Why are you still here? Are you planning on reading that book till the library closes?
M: I know it’s late, but have you not seen the rain outside?
W: Look, I have a big umbrella. You can go home with me.

Text 6
M: Avalon Travel, Eric speaking. Can I help you?
W: Yes. My husband and I are celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary and we want to go to discover his roots. His family’s from England.
M: Oh! Well first, congratulations on your anniversary!
W: Thank you.
M: So, you want to combine a holiday with some research on your husband’s background?
W: Yes, that’s right. His family’s from around Buxton, I believe.
M: Oh, Derbyshire! It’s so lovely in the spring. There are lots of nice little inns to visit there. May I ask how much your budget is?
W: Oh, since it’s our anniversary, money’s no object…

Text 7
W: What’s your name?
M: Jason, Jason Stewart.
W: How did you start the organization Kids Saving the Rainforest?
M: My friend and I made some art and set up a roadside stand to sell it. We decided to use the money we raised to protect the rainforest. With my mom’s help, we were able to buy two acres of rainforest. But the organization we donated to didn’t tell us where the acres were, so we couldn’t go to visit them. My mom thought we should have our own organization so we could always see where our money went.
W: And what do you want to be when you grow up?
M: I think I’d like to be an environmental lawyer.

Text 8
M: Excuse me, madam, I'm from the local newspaper. Would you mind answering some questions about this bus route?
W: Will it take long? My stop is coming up soon.
M: It shouldn’t take more than a minute.
W: OK.
M: About the bus service, is it usually on time? And what about the comfort level?
W: Well, about the time, it used to be good, but during the last few weeks it’s been very unreliable. It needs to be improved as soon as possible. And the buses are very comfortable, except the older ones.
M: Is the bus clean?
W: Usually it’s fairly clean in the morning, but it’s quite dirty on the way home.
M: What do you think of the staff’s work?
W: Really good. The drivers are always polite, but sometimes the passengers can be very difficult.
M: OK, that’s it. Thank you for your time.

Text 9

W: That’s right. Tonight’s the final part. Let me change the channel.
M: Er, this isn’t Murder in Madrid.
W: Do you think they canceled it?
M: Let me check the TV listings. (Opens newspaper) Oh, no, look at this! The Oscars are on now instead; the final part of Murder in Madrid will be shown next week at this time.
W: Now we’ll have to wait a week to find out who the murderer was.
M: Don’t worry, look what I bought.
W: Murder in Madrid? You bought the book?
M: I hear it’s even better than the series. And now, we can find out what happens.
W: Oh, George, where’s the fun in that? We’ve been looking forward to the big surprise.
M: But I’m dying to know who killed Ackerman … and that woman in the nightclub, who I thought was the best character in the series.
W: As long as you don’t tell me who did it. I think I can wait until next week to find out.
M: Well, I can’t. But I won’t say anything, don’t worry.
W: You’d better not.
M: (Opens the book and starts to read) Oh, no … she couldn’t have. She was only … Cindy, you won’t believe this…
W: George! Come on! I don’t want to know.

Text 10
W: Attention, Whole Foods shoppers. Several of our products are being recalled. There have been hundreds of cases of food poisoning over the last six months, and the government has narrowed it down to several possible causes. There may be a virus in some of the meat we sold, or the food could have gone bad before it was packaged. Please check the list below to find out if you’ve already purchased any of the items. The list includes certain frozen fish dinners, peanut butter, canned tomatoes, and chicken. Some frozen vegetables, like peas and corn, are also on the list. If you have any of the items, you may bring them back within a week for a full refund. If you’ve already started eating the food, please stop immediately. Bring in the part you haven’t eaten, and we will give you a refund, even without a receipt. We’ll have extra customer service staff at the front of the store to help.

A
21. C。由全文第二段和第三段 “Water is the most important thing”和可知,地图和水不可缺少,答案为C。
22. B。由全文第三段中“drink 0.5 to 1 liter of some type of electrolyte replacement drink each and every hour that you are hiking in the heat.”
23. A。由全文第四段“In the case of lightning storms, stay away from tall trees and go quickly to the lowest-lying land you can find.”

B
24. D。根据文章第四段“We never had money to buy extra things, so even a tired rose was something to cherish”可知,Wanda小时候家里不富裕,也没有多余的钱买玫瑰花,因此答案为D。根据此段“Seeing roses always brings to mind Wanda’s childhood memories. To this young girl, those flowers were a extra special.”
25. B。根据第九段“I told her I was happy for her to have the roses, but I really wasn’t,”以及后文Wanda的后悔可知,Wanda在邻居离开后是不开心的,因此答案为B。
26. C。根据最后一段“To this day, that 'special delivery' changed Wanda.”
27. D。根据最后一段“Now, her very first blooms always go to someone else, as a reminder that someone is thinking of them.”

29. A。 This is probably why companies from around the world have recently focused more on building a “sonic identity” rather than just based on a visual image.
What you hear are adjectives that the company wants you to associate with Intel: A modern, trustworthy, intelligent, simple and efficient brand,” wrote reporter Jordan Passman on Forbes.

D
32. C。根据第二段中“They believe that one side of the brain acts as a “night watch” to warn us about potential dangers. It forces us to stay awake on the first night in a new environment.”
33. A。根据第四段中“According to the researchers, on their first night, the left brains were more active than the right brains and people had a hard time sleeping.”
34. C。根据第五段中“The findings suggest that the different rhythms of the sides of the brain affect our sleep. When the two sides work differently, the balance between them is broken.”
35. A。根据倒数第二段“The researchers think that it is the result of evolution, and works to protect us in potentially dangerous environments.”

Someone cared about him.
43. B。由后文and it breaks my heart to tell you this,以及“The ___44___ boy in the seventh grade is failing my class.”
The smartest boy in the seventh grade had just ___55___ his first test.
53. A。根据后半句and was the first to hand in his paper可知Steve是第一个完成测试的人,所以应该是hurried through the test。
Miss White saved one boy who ___58___ changing many lives.
58. C。put up 建造,提供;give up 放弃;end up 到头来;take up 开始从事,着手处理;因此应该选end up,意为“Miss White拯救了一个小男孩,而这个小男孩最后也改变了很多人的人生”。
59. B。 Miss White saved one boy who ___58___ changing many lives.中的changing。
60. A。此空对应上文Someone cared about him.中的cared的。
