2020-21学年高一版第30期总第824期 III 版听力测试原文

Text 1

W: Please follow me. Your room number is 1004 on the 10th floor.

M: Thank you. We will take the elevator, right? I’ve got heavy luggage.

Text 2

M: Are you supposed to leave at 8:25 for the airport?

W: No, 825 is my flight number, honey. I will leave at 6:25, I think.

Text 3

W: Jerry, what are you looking at?

M: Nothing. I just found out that I failed another chemistry exam. I worked so hard but still couldn’t pass.

Text 4

W: Do you have the tickets for tonight’s game with you?

M: Right here in my pocket. There is a parking lot across the street, and I’ll be waiting for you in the cafe next to the stadium.

Text 5

W: Is that you onstage, Jim? You look wonderful.

M: Yes, my father took it for me two years ago, and I’ve kept it in this album since then. I was receiving the award on behalf of our school team.

Text 6

W: How long do you think we should stay in Shanghai?

M: One or two weeks. We could spend some days in the city, and then drive around to see some small towns.

W: Sounds nice. I’d certainly like to go sightseeing along the Huangpu River. That is the reason why I would like to go to Shanghai.

M: Also, we can try some local dishes while driving around.

W: We’d have to plan our drive before we leave. Let’s find a good guidebook in the bookshop when we go shopping in town this weekend.

Text 7

W: Hello?

M: Hello. Is this Diana?

W: Yes. Who is calling?

M: It’s me, Tom. I’ve just moved to New Zealand, and this is my new number.

W: Oh, Tom. How is your new life there?

M: Pretty good. I’m living very close to my new company. I was calling to ask if you could do me a favor.

W: What is it?

M: Some files were delivered to my old house yesterday by mistake. Would you please go next door and get them? I’ll send my colleagues to pick them up next week and send them to me.

W: OK. I’ll go and check now. Were they left in the mailbox?

Text 8

W: I think I need to exercise more. Any recommendations?

M: How about cycling? I love riding in the suburbs with friends and enjoying the views along the way. It’s very relaxing.

W: I don’t own a bike!

M: OK. Then forget about cycling. Perhaps you can sign up for an exercise class.

W: Oh, not that. I always find it embarrassing to exercise in front of people.

M: What about running? It’s a great sport for beginners. All you need is a pair of good running shoes.

W: That sounds nice. Do you often go running? Maybe we can do it together.

M: I sometimes run at the gym.

W: The gym? We can just go to the university next door and run on the track.

M: Good idea. I didn’t think of that!

Text 9

M: Hello. I saw your post on the website, and I’m calling to ask about the apartment for rent. What is it like?

W: Oh, it’s a two-bedroom apartment with a living room, a small kitchen and a bathroom.

M: Where is it located?

W: It’s on Ivy Road.

M: Is it furnished?

W: Yes. It has a sofa in the living room, a dining table, some chairs and a few household appliances.

M: How much is the rent?

W: It’s $350 a month, including utilities like gas, electricity and heat.

M: I see. Does that also include parking and management fees?

W: The management fee is included in the rent, but you have to pay separately for parking.

M: Oh, thank you. When can I have a look at it?

W: I cannot make it today or tomorrow. I’ll check my schedule and call you back. Is that OK?

M: All right. Thank you.

Text 10

Polar bears are the beautiful, iconic animals we associate with the Arctic. But the existence of these animals is at risk. Climate change is causing the polar bear population to decrease sharply. According to a study, the animals may die out in the next 100 years. Polar bears use sea ice to hunt for food, mainly seals. But as the ice continues to melt, it becomes more difficult for them to do so.

Polar bear cubs will not survive because their mothers will not have enough body fat to produce milk to bring them along through the ice-free season, Dr Steven Amstrup, chief scientist of Polar Bears International, told BBC News.

With such a severe situation at hand, many people are doing whatever they can to help.
