One possible version: I like reading because books can bring different kinds of stories to me and help me learn about the lives of different people. Up to now, I have read a lot of books, but one of my favorites is The Story of My Life by the American writer Helen Keller. Keller became blind and deaf when she was 19 months old. This made her feel so sad. However, at around 7, she met Miss Sullivan - her teacher who opened a new world for her. Miss Sullivan helped Keller learn how to write. At first, it was hard for Keller, but she tried her best to remember all the words. Finally, Keller became a writer who wrote many famous works. The Story of My Life is one of them. I like the book because it is a great story about a famous writer and educator, and it also teaches us a common truth: Nothing is impossible if you put your heart into it.
