Text 10
M: One day, a couple arrived early and checked in for a tour. The bus driver told them to go onto the minibus and wait. They came back a few minutes later looking a bit nervous and told the guide there was a homeless man sitting in the minibus. He was dressed in torn jeans, a worn T-shirt, sunglasses and a dirty hat. The driver told the couple not to worry as he was coming on the tour with them. The couple and other people on the tour all boarded the minibus, keeping an eye on the man. When they arrived at the destination, the man took off his sunglasses and his hat, and started talking to the tour guide. It was only then that the couple and the other people on the tour realized that this “homeless man” was actually Bob Dylan, a well-known American musician. He was dressed that way in order to avoid being disturbed by his fans!

第二节
第四部分 写作
第一节(One possible version)
Honorable judges and dear fellow students, good morning!
It’s a great pleasure for me to stand here and talk about “How to live a healthy life”. As the saying goes, “Health is wealth.” Keeping healthy has a positive effect on every aspect of our lives. But how can we stay healthy? Here are some useful tips.
Firstly, one of the best ways to improve our health is to do regular exercise. Being physically active not only strengthens our bones and muscles, reduces our stress, but also boosts our willpower. Moreover, it is important to eat well. We need to keep a balanced diet and eat foods which contain various nutrients. Last but not least, enough sleep is also important for good health. It allows our body and mind to recharge, leaving us refreshed when we wake up.
If we pay more attention to the tips above, we will lead a healthier life. Thank you very much for your attention!
第二节(One possible version)
We sat with Leourn at the freshman girls’ table. The other freshman girls tried to let us join in the “nobody talks to Leourn” joke. But we said “Hi” to Leourn and tried to engage her in our conversation. The girls were not ready for what they saw. Their mouths were half-open with surprise, seemingly losing track of their joke. But Leourn still kept her head down. That was OK with us because we knew that just spending time with Leourn was good enough, regardless of her response to us.
When February rolled around, our school would sell carnation flowers that we could give to one another for Valentine’s Day. We immediately thought of Leourn and decided we would buy her a flower. I would never forget that Valentine’s Day. A carnation in hand, we walked to the lunch table and gave her the flower. She looked up at us with tears in her eyes and whispered, “Thank you.” It was a life-changing moment for us. We learned that we could change the world by spreading love – one flower at a time.
