Dear Peter,
I’m glad you’re interested in Chinese intangible cultural heritage. Please allow me to introduce Taohuawu Woodblock New Year Prints to you.
Named a national heritage in 2006, these prints are a kind of nianhua, famous for their bright colors, clear patterns and rich themes – from traditional door gods to scenes from popular video games. Sun Yibo, one of the craft’s inheritors, has worked on Taohuawu prints for over 20 years. He and other inheritors are trying to pass down the craft by holding exhibitions and offering courses.
I think such efforts will help keep the craft alive. It’s not just art, but a part of our culture.
Feel free to let me know if you’d like to learn more. I’d be happy to share!
Yours,
Li Hua

解析:
Day 1 1-4 CBBC
1. C。由第二段“However, not everyone there is excited about the brand’s grand entrance. Over
270,000 people have signed online petitions opposing Shein, said The Guardian.”可知,Shein在巴黎开店的举动在法国引发了正反两种不同的反应。
2. B。由第五段 “The company also uses digital tools to track trends ... tests new designs with small groups before making more” 可知,Shein借助数字工具追踪潮流、小批量测试新设计再量产,这种数据驱动的生产方式是其快速成功的重要原因。
3. B。由第六段 “Marie-Emmanuelle Demours ... marked by mass production and design theft. Real fashion ... should be ‘made by hand, one by one’” 可知,她认为Shein这类品牌代表着大规模生产和设计抄袭,缺乏手工工艺和原创性。
4. C。由最后一段 “Shein’s rise in France is undeniable. In 2024, it became the most purchased brand in the country ... five more Shein stores are set to open across France” 可知,Shein已成为法国购买量最高的品牌,且计划再开 5 家门店,可见其正成为法国市场的主要品牌。
Day 2 1-3 BCD
Day 3 1-4 BCCD
1. B。根据第三段“However, climate change is changing that. This spring, Iceland saw record temperatures ...”
3. C。根据第七段“floods create breeding pools for them, while droughts lead people to store water, increasing mosquito habitats”可知,洪水会形成积水池,这些是蚊子理想的繁殖场所,而干旱则促使人们储水,这也间接增加了蚊子的栖息地,因此不规则的降水为蚊子提供了更多的繁殖栖息地。
4. D。根据最后一段“While mosquitoes are taking advantage of climate change, other animals are being forced to expand their range further north for the same reason”可知,气候变化对动物的移动产生了不同的影响。
Day 4 1-4 DBBC
1. D。由第二段 “a city that can be both stunning and lonely” 可知,作者暗示温哥华这座城市既令人惊叹又带着孤独感,即它很美好但在情感上让人觉得疏离。
2. B。由第二段 “What brought us to that table ... was a bond formed by strangers ... It was a bond formed by strangers”、第五段 “Dragon boating brings people together” 及最后一段 “Dragon boating gave us a place to belong” 可知,四人定期相聚的主要动力是通过龙舟运动建立的联结。
3. B。由第六段 “helping us build a community powered by tired bodies and an appreciation for the joy of being outdoors” 可知,这份友谊帮他们在异国他乡找到归属感,是支撑他们在异国他乡生活的力量,“anchor” 在此意为 “稳定的支撑”。
4. C。文章讲述了来自不同国家的四人因龙舟运动这一共同爱好相识,建立起深厚友谊,缓解了在异国的孤独感;核心信息是 “共同的热爱能建立有意义的联结”,故C项最贴合主旨。
