Day 1

Dear friends,

Today, I would like to share my perspective on the topic Should zoos exist? I firmly believe that zoos should exist, but with certain improvements.

First, zoos play a crucial role in protecting endangered species. They can offer a safe environment for animals at risk of extinction. Second, zoos are great educational platforms. They allow people to get close to different animals and learn about them.

However, zoos should be more like natural reserveslarger, greener and focused on real conservation, so animals could live as they would in the wild, not just survive in cages.

In conclusion, zoos can have a future if they truly become centers of protection and learning, not just display. Lets support zoos that put animals first.

Thank you!

Day 5 1-5 CBAEF

解析:

Day 1 1-4 CADB

1. C。根据第一段“David Field ... said he would close many zoos in the UK because they are not meeting expected standards.”

2. A。根据第二段“Bob Jacobs ... says that living in a stressful zoo environment can harm the brains of many animals.”

3. D。根据第三段“... animals raised in zoos rarely learn important survival skills and often become too used to people. Because they do not naturally fear humans, they can be easily  hurt by poachers ...”

4. B。根据第四段“... strongly believes that elephants should not be kept in zoos.”

Day 2 1-4 CBAD

1. C。由第二段 “Liang and his team revealed how they trained DeepSeek-R1 with just 294,000 dollars ... R1 is the first of its kind to be released as open weight ... This move has inspired other companies in China and the US to make AI products open-source” 可知,梁文锋研发的 DeepSeek-R1 以低成本研发、开源的特点,启发了中美其他公司推出开源 AI 产品,推动了人工智能领域的发展变革,即他帮助重塑了AI的发展模式。

2. B。由第三段 “However, Liang was prepared. Curious about their potential, he had bought a sufficient amount of these components and had been working on them over the previous decade” 可知,在美国出口管制导致中国 AI 公司难以获取 AI 训练组件时,梁文锋因为早在十年前就购买了足够的相关组件并开展研究,因此得以顺利推进研发,他的前瞻性准备是取得成就的主要原因。

3. A。由倒数第二段 “The water pressure at the ocean bottom can be about 1,000 times what we experience at sea level”“Onboard, there is only a space 1.8 meters wide for three scientists”“Then there is the challenge of seasickness” 可知,该段主要介绍了深海探索面临的海底高压、狭小的舱内空间、晕船等艰难条件。

Day 3 1-4 BCCB

1. B。由第一段 “Are you scared when you see unleashed dogs on the street? I certainly am ... my body tenses and a wave of panic washes over me” 可知,作者通过描述自己看到未栓绳狗时的紧张、恐慌等个人感受,引出将遛狗不栓绳列为违法行为这一话题。

2. C。由第二段 “The newly revised Public Security Administration Punishments Law... states that actions such as walking dogs without a leash are illegal”“This change shifts leashing from a mere courtesy to a clear legal obligation” 可知,新法律明确将遛狗不栓绳列为违法行为,使栓狗从单纯的礼貌行为转变为法定义务,即栓狗成为法律要求。

3. C。由第四段 “shifting the issue from the vague idea of ‘irresponsible behavior’ to the clear concept of ‘illegality’” 的对比关系可知,“vague” “clear”(明确的)互为反义词,指 不明确的、不够具体的,即 不负责任的行为这一表述不够具体,而 违法行为则清晰明确。

4. B。由最后一段 “It is a modest restraint that benefits everyone, whether they walk on two legs or four” 可知,作者认为新法律对遛狗行为的限制是适度的,却能让所有人(包括人类和宠物)受益,即轻微的限制有助于公共利益。

Day 4 1-4 CBDD

1. C。根据第二段中“But in the classroom, I aim to play it neutral, like Shakespeare’s line, ‘I am not what I am,’ a toned-down version of my naturally critical self.”

2. B。根据第三段“I’ve got an engaged audience, keen young minds ready to soak up whatever I share ... but thats not what teaching is about. Even though I strongly believe in certain things, forcing my own ideas on students just doesnt feel right. 中的语境可知,“a breeze”表示让学生接受她的观点是一件轻而易举的事

3. D。根据第四段中“Several of my professors at university loved using the classroom as a way to tell students the ‘correct’ way to think, and the ‘best’ way to view issues. But this is not right.”

4. D。根据倒数第二段“At the core of my teaching philosophy is encouraging individuality; it’s not about me. I push students to carefully explore diverse viewpoints with a critical eye, better preparing them for the intellectual challenges beyond high school. In short, a teacher’s role is to cultivate critical thinking, not to brainwash.”

Day 5 1-5 CBAEF

1. C。由前文 “around two-thirds of daily behaviors happen automatically, triggered by familiar places, times or routines” 可知,约三分之二的日常行为是自动发生的,选项 C“换句话说,我们生活的大部分时间都在按惯性行事是对前文内容的通俗化解释,承接自然。

2. B。由后文 “when he arrives at work, he automatically makes a cup of tea” 可知,这里是本杰明・加德纳教授用自己的行为举例,选项 B “他举了自己一个习惯的例子作为过渡句,引出后文的具体例证。

3. A。由后文 “65% of actions began out of habit, 88% were done at least partly on autopilot, and 76% supported people’s goals” 可知,这里是研究得出的具体数据结果,选项 A “结果令人震惊作为主旨句,统领后文的具体数据。

4. E。由前文 “many habits actually help us achieve what we want”“There’s nothing inherently good or bad about habit itself” 可知,习惯本身无好坏之分,关键看其对目标的影响,选项 E“好习惯助力目标达成;坏习惯阻碍目标实现承接前文,进一步说明习惯的影响。
