Dear Principal,

I am writing to express my concern about the design of the girls’ sports uniforms. At present, some uniforms are too tight and restrict movement, which makes physical activities uncomfortable.

This problem not only affects students’ performance in sports classes but may also reduce their confidence and willingness to take part in exercise. Over time, it could have a negative impact on both physical health and overall well-being.

I sincerely suggest that the school offer more flexible and comfortable options, such as looser tops or shorts, and allow students to choose what suits them best. This would help create a more supportive sports environment.

Thank you for your time and consideration

Yours sincerely,

Li Hua

Day 5 1-5 CDBBA 6-10 BACDB 11-15 ACDDA

解析:

Day 1 1-4 CDAB

1. C。 HBM is essential for AI data centers, which need large amounts of fast memory to run AI systems”可知,HBM适合用于AI数据中心是因为其快速的数据传输速度。

3. A。根据第四段“Micron announced it would exit its Crucial consumer memory business to focus on larger AI customers”可知,Micron的策略是优先考虑AI相关业务。

4. B。根据最后一段“raising concerns that higher tech prices may become the new normal”可知,最后一段暗示了较高的技术价格可能成为一种持久的趋势。

Day 2 1-4 DBBD

1. D。由第一段“the top was too tight, and both pieces restricted Howard’s movement and breathing”以及第二段“Howard’s experience isn’t uncommon. From professional gymnasts to badminton players, women across many sports have long faced uniforms that hurt their performance”可知,Howard的经历揭示了不合身的运动服会对女性运动员的发挥造成负面影响。

2. B。由第三段“She told NPR that there are social expectations for how women should look, from hair to makeup to how tight their clothing is. These expectations follow traditional ideas of what it means to be a woman”可知,更深层的问题指的是社会对女性的外貌存在固有期待,这种期待源于对女性的传统认知,是一种文化层面的偏见。

3. B。由第四段“Ill-fitting uniforms can also affect athletes’ bodies. When athletes feel pressure to stay thin, they might not eat enough”可知,研究是为了说明不合身的运动服会让女性运动员产生保持身材的压力,进而导致饮食不足,最终损害健康,即运动服带来的压力对健康的危害。

4. D。由最后一段“‘The reason behind a girl’s choice - whether it’s shorts, skorts or leggings - shouldn’t matter. It’s about creating an environment where they feel confident and supported to move and thrive’”可知,Howard强调的核心是应为女性运动员提供多样、舒适的服装选择,让她们能自信地投入运动。

Day 3 1-4 BACB

1. B。根据第三段“AI can now simulate human-like writing, coding and data analysis”可知,AI能够模拟人类的写作、编程和数据分析,这些都是认知工作的一部分。

2. A。根据第四段“Collaboration, empathy, emotional awareness and creative problem-solving are difficult to automate”可知,软技能如协作、同理心和创造性问题解决是难以自动化的,因此AI难以学习这些技能。

3. C。根据倒数第二段“Teachers should stress the value of slower learning – through handwriting, group presentations, and hands-on projects”可知,教师应强调慢速学习的重要性,以帮助学生建立核心技能。

4. B根据最后一段“human skills such as self-awareness, empathy and complex problem-solving will only grow in value”可知,作者认为人类技能的价值将会增加,表明对人类工人的未来持乐观态度。

Day 4 1-4 CDAD

1. C。由第二段 “I’ve been reading, writing, thinking and even dreaming in English for decades. Each year, I listen to 100 audiobooks in English, training my ear to every inflection and making listening both a discipline and a pleasure. I’ve built a career out of words” 可知,作者几十年来一直在用英语进行阅读、写作、思考,甚至做梦,每年还会听100本英文有声书,并且以英语相关的内容为职业,可见她每天都在深入地接触英语。

2. D。结合第五段的上下文来看,作者提到自己多年来努力融入英语环境,学习日常对话、练习习语,想要让自己的英语表达更贴合母语者的习惯,但紧接着用“But”转折,说明她无法隐藏 “the echo of where I came from”。再结合第六段“My accent is a reminder of my mother tongue, the sound of my earliest songs, dinner table debates and childhood storytelling”的补充说明,能明确这里的 “echo” 指的是母语在她的英语表达中留下的印记,也就是她的口音,是她出身的语言环境带来的痕迹。

3. A。由第七段 “Language feels like that to me. Even when I stumble, it carries me, helping me connect, work across borders and express myself”、第八段 “I’ve come to see my accent not as a flaw, but as a map – each sound carrying a part of my journey” 可知,作者最终不再将口音视为缺陷,而是将其看作自己人生旅程的印记,并且认为口音帮助自己更好地与人联结、工作和表达,因此她对口音的态度是自豪的。

4. D。由最后一段 “So if you’ve ever felt ‘less than’ because a language isn’t your first, remember: Your voice has power. You don’t need to smooth out every edge. Those edges catch the light” 可知,作者认为不必去消除语言中的 不完美(也就是口音这类小的缺陷),这些不完美反而会成为闪光点,即不完美可以转化为优势。

Day 5 1-5 CDBBA 6-10 BACDB 11-15 ACDDA

1. C。由上文 “I used to feel like a coiled spring - tense, breathing fast and shallow” 可知,作者下班后紧张不安,状态紧绷,因此这是充满压力的(stressful)一天。

6. B。由下文 “watched YouTube tutorials and printed a finger chart” 可知,作者搜索的是 如何吹竖笛play the recorder),这些都是学习演奏竖笛的准备。

7. A。由上文 “When I managed a shaky Twinkle Twinkle Little Star可知,作者作为一个压力大、没耐心的51岁成年人,能勉强吹出《小星星》,这对她来说是一项巨大的成就(achievement)。

9. D。由语境 “Playing forced me to focus on ...”

11. A。由下文 “the joy ... more than skill” 可知,即使是掌握一段简短的曲调,作者也感到无比快乐(joyful)。

12. C。由上文 “My timing is terrible, and I still write note names down” 可知,作者的节奏很差,还需要写下音符名称,但她认为快乐比技巧更重要(matters)。

13. D。由下文 “every evening. For 20 minutes, I’m in my own world” 可知,作者每天晚上都会拿起(pick up)竖笛演奏。
