I would be heartbroken to lose the grassland near my house. It’s an open field. I can see tall grass and wildflowers everywhere. My dad and I go there almost every weekend in spring to fly kites. He usually holds the string (线) while I run as fast as I can. When the kite finally lifts off, we cheer together. That grassland matters to me because it’s where my dad teaches me to let go and trust the wind. It’s our special father-son tradition. Losing it would mean losing that special connection.
