It's comforting and it's easy,"根据上下文,"It"指代的是网上交友;"There's a sense of belonging in it.",网上交友使人们有一种归属感;"It's a sense of community in a generation where community has sort of disappeared",从网上获取归属感的这代人,(由于缺乏社区活动),从某种意义上说,他们现实生活中的社区已经消亡了。
you risk burning a bridge, losing a contact and missing an opportunity. So every time I go to click the button, and my heart hurts.",对于害怕失去朋友和机会的人来说,这是件痛苦的事情;"To some, it's poor "netiquette" to defriend",有人认为这是不懂网上礼仪的表现;"But to me, it's the stage of life when we hold onto the people who count, the people who impact you",对于作者而言,只需保留在她生活中真正重要的,有影响力的朋友。本题选错误项,即B项,"how easily they could cut hundreds of connections without thinking twice",我的朋友们不假思索就删除了所谓的好友,文中没有提到大多数人是三思而后行的。
D3
It means freedom, independence, and control.

A
My picture showed a stick figure with brown hair holding a carton of orange juice over a large rectangle that was supposed to be a counter. 以及To this day my parents won’t let me forget that out of everything I could have aspired to be, my five-year-old self wished to work at the local grocery store.
Teens are expected to know exactly what we want to be and how we are going to achieve that goal. Not all of us can be so sure. Even though I am in high school, I cannot answer convincingly.
Happiness is a destination for everyone. But always remember, if you’re not happy, you’re not at the end of your journey yet.
根据文章第二段最后一句“As teens continue to be able to buy their own cigarettes, more and more communities begin to impose stronger punishments on merchants who sell to teens.”
根据文章第三段第三句话“The entire program includes local licensing of selling, repeated undercover inspections to see if the sale to minors has stopped, and education programs in schools.”
Others are philosophers; people who want to know the truth about life for themselves and spend their time studying, thinking and asking questions.
15. A。根据第五段的“When we ask ourselves questions, we start to understand ourselves and our lives…” 根据第五段的“…and it’s up to us to make changes or not.” 根据第六段的“But philosophy can also cause problems and conflict when people don’t agree.
16. D。据第四段“Go on and argue – you will understand more about what you believe.” Why do we need philosophy的回答可以排除C。
E
17. A。根据文章第一个建议中的最后一句“It will also help you to notice your mistakes and the topics you have trouble understanding”可以得知,朗读有利于发现错误,故答案为A。

W: Hello, my name is Jennifer Sun. I am 14 years old. I go to school in Central Jersey in the US. I will tell you about school life in the US.
I moved to the small, busy town of Edison in New Jersey six years ago. My parents had got new jobs and started earning more money. They decided it was time to move from the average district of Woodbridge to a better town with better schools.
In the US, kids don't need to take a test to get into a "good" middle or high school. You go to the school that is closest to where you live. This is why many parents think about the schools in an area before moving there. My parents did this. They chose Edison mainly because of its above-average high school.
They were also looking for a school in an Asian area. You see, Asians like to stick together. My school in Edison is 55 percent Asian and just under half of that is Chinese.
On Friday nights, teenagers go to Menlo Park, a two-floor shopping mall. It is 10 minutes away from my house. It has a movie theater, many restaurants and a bookstore.
Edison is an average old town, just like thousands of others in the US. However, I think of it as my hometown. It's where I've spent my youth. The people I meet, the place I go to hang out, my memories, are all connected with Edison.
