W: Dad, My shoes don’t fit any more. It’s my feet; they keep growing!
M: It’s completely natural, Polly. All children’s feet begin to grow quickly when they reach your age.
W: I wish my shoes could grow with my feet!
M: Well. Maybe they can!
W: What! You must be joking, Dad.
M: A British company had made a shoe that can “grow” a whole extra size. There’s a button on the side you press, then you pull out the shoe to the size of your feet. They’re called INCHworms. They’re good for kids who have one foot bigger than the other as well. They’re selling like hot cakes.
W: Can I have some Dad?
M: Well, I’ll think about it. They’re expensive you know, 48 pounds! I think we might just have to buy you a new ordinary pair of shoes. I’ll talk to your mother to see if we can afford it.
W: Go on Dad. I’ll be the coolest girl in the playground.

In my opinion, students should be banned from using cell phones on campus. Although cell phones are an important and convenient means of communication, they do more harm than good to teenagers.
For one thing, they are harmful because of the radiation. More importantly, cell phones can be a great distraction. Students text message, chat, listen to music and play games in class, which not only affects teaching but also makes it difficult for others to concentrate. What’s worse, some students continue to text, chat and play games in their dormitories until deep into the night. It is disturbing to everyone, affects sleep, and leads to an inability to concentrate in class the next day.
Also, those that use cell phones tend to compare them and show off, especially if they have a particularly prestigious model. It can lead to a nasty competitive spirit among students.
For these reasons, I think cell phones should be banned on campus.
