解析
Day 11.
Day 21. D。
2. B。由第五段最后一句话“What OK provided that the others did not was neutrality, a way to affirm or to express agreement without having to offer an opinion.”
Day 31.
Day 41. D。
从一开始工程师就认真对待这一问题,所以A不对;由第四段“The engineer refused to believe that this man's car was allergic (过敏的) to vanilla ice cream.”
3. C。由倒数第二段“… but the extra time taken to get the other flavors allowed the engine to cool down sufficiently (充分地) to start. When the man got vanilla, the engine was still too hot for the vapor lock to dissipate (消散).”
think outside the box 意思是:to think of new, different, or unusual ways of doing something, especially in business。

Ray just got his wallet back 62 years after he lost it in France during World War II.
Late last year, Ray received a call from a man named Stephen in the US. Stephen asked Ray if he had lost a wallet. Ray said yes and Stephen told Ray that the wallet would be sent to him soon.
“I could hardly believe it,” said Ray.
Stephen’s father, who also served in France during World War II, recently died. Checking his father’s things, Stephen found the old wallet. He thought that his dad had found it during the war and brought it home, hoping to find the owner. Not knowing how to make contact, his dad left it in a drawer where it stayed for more than six decades.
Using the Internet, Stephen found Ray. After their phone conversation, he mailed the wallet to him.
“He sent it to me, and I received it in very good condition,” Ray said. There was an article that his parents had mailed to him during the war in the wallet.
“I was impressed that a stranger would go to such trouble to locate me and return my wallet,” Ray said.

For those who may not have heard of it, MySpace is a huge “social networking” website that is very popular in the US now. As of early 2007, nearly half of the US people over the age of 14 had at least one MySpace account. The number of accounts has reached about 150 million. And every day thousands of new accounts are created.
There are two important differences between MySpace and Facebook, another popular US social network on the web. First, their creators are different types of people. Facebook was created by Mark Zuckerberg when he was at Harvard University. MySpace, on the other hand, was created by a number of singers. People use MySpace to share music with each other. In fact, most of US singers have their own space on the site. Secondly, Facebook is only available to students in high schools or colleges while MySpace can be used by anyone about the age of 14, no matter if he or she is a student or not.
