D3

1. C。 What’s worse, with the power of sunlight, the pollution can pose a far bigger threat to local air than known.

2. C。由第二段“To capture and measure the air pollution produced by plane engines, Allen Robinson and his colleagues … used giant bags to collect emissions from the engine of a jet”可知C正确。

3. B。由第五段“Besides, the small size of the newly created particles makes them especially easy to breathe in deeply and collect in the lungs or even into the brain. In both places, the particles can harm tissues.” A项grew less slowly不对;C项The high-density of the pollution particles应该是the small size of the particles;由第四段“Within minutes solid particles were formed by the chemical reaction among the materials in the bags.”

4. D。由最后一段“it now appears it could be a significant source of ultra fine particles—and health effects”可知D正确。

2. C. She said, “Like wow, Mr. Rat. A rat trap. I am in grave danger. Duh? ”
