THOUGH computers are still regarded as the most reliable (可靠的) and handy piece of electronic equipment for students, they are being overshadowed (比下去) by new devices. Smartphones – which allow us to check e-mail, search the Web, make calls, send texts, play games and set reminders – have become staples (主要部分) on campus. They are almost minicomputers, but because of the small screen size and limited storage space, phones are not good for saving large amounts of data or documents (文件).
