READING Sibel Hodge’s The Fashion Police, the reader could be forgiven for thinking they were sitting in a movie theater, not turning the pages of a book. It’s highly cinematic. Of course, many writers have an eye on selling their story to a film producer as well as selling large amounts of books. Whether or not this was Hodge’s intention, her story has all the ingredients of a movie. It has a fast-paced plot, comical (好笑的) characters, and scenes that the reader can easily imagine being seen as moving pictures.
