Shenzhou, one of China’s largest car rental companies, found itself in deep trouble last week after it kicked off a social media marketing campaign attacking one of its biggest competitors, Uber. Taking aim at Uber’s *car-hailing service in China, the campaign features nine showbiz and Internet celebrities posing with messages warning of the dangers of unlicensed taxi services, along with a mock Uber logo with a red mark of rejection emblazoned over it, and the English words , “Beat U!”
