Andrew Reiner’s course, Real Men Smile: The Changing Face of Masculinity, is inspired by Michael Kimmel, a researcher in the field of men’s studies and the founder and director of the Center for the Study of Men and Masculinities at Stony Brook University in New York. The center will soon enroll students in the first-ever master’s program in men’s studies in the US.
