Chelsea Pensioners (卫士) walk through the 5,000 Poppies (罂粟) Garden at the Chelsea Flower Show in London on May 23. The Chelsea Flower Show has a long history that dates back to 1912. It has become the most famous flower show in the United Kingdom, and even in the world. Every year, visitors enjoy flowers in avant-garde (前卫的) gardens designed by top floral (花卉的) designers. This year, in order to celebrate Queen Elizabeth II’s 90th birthday, there was a beautiful floral arch (拱门) at an entrance to the show. Some people also had the chance to meet members of the British Royal Family, since they are regular visitors to the annual show.
