US singer Selena Gomez is taking time out of her busy schedule to give back to high school students. On March 23, the 24-year-old partnered with the Step Up organization, which aims to help girls from underprivileged communities feel better about themselves and eventually head to college. The star helped spread the message of confidence and fulfilling one’s potential in two Los Angeles high schools. Gomez stayed with the students, pulling up a seat to chat and provide some advice, like “love yourself first”. She later wrote on her Instagram account: “I was introduced to an after school organization that encourages girls to believe that they have the capability (能力) to do anything they set their mind to.”
