The glitzy fundraising (募捐) event held on May 1 in New York is considered one of the year’s most fashionable due to the A-list celebrities and household names that make up the guest list. This year’s theme was inspired by Japanese designer Rei Kawakubo and her avant-garde (先锋派) clothes. This was Liu’s eighth red carpet appearance, and with a denim gown (牛仔裙), she was ranked as one of the best dressed celebrities on the red carpet that evening, according to Vogue.
