The two sessions (两会) are the talk of the town in China now. This term refers to the meetings of the National People’s Congress (NPC, 全国人民代表大会) and the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC, 中国人民政治协商会议). This year, the CPPCC session started on March 3 and the NPC session will start on March 5.
