US sprinter (短跑运动员) Christian Coleman has been punished. On Oct 28, it was confirmed that he would be banned for two years for three whereabouts failures in a 12-month period. The World Anti-Doping Agency’s (WADA) “whereabouts” system requires athletes to let anti-doping (反兴奋剂的) officials know where they’ll be for one hour every day, as well as details of overnight accommodation and training venues (场地), CNN reported. Now, the sixth-fastest runner in history will miss a chance to win a gold medal in the 2021 Tokyo Olympics. Coleman’s representative, Emanuel Hudson, said that the sprinter will appeal the ruling to the Court of Arbitration for Sport, according to Reuters.
