The height of the world’s tallest mountain, Mount Qomolangma, has been updated. It is now measured as standing 8848.86 meters above sea level.

The measurement was jointly announced by President Xi Jinping and Nepalese President Bidya Devi Bhandari as they exchanged letters on Dec 8.
