Hong Kong is racing against time to contain its worst-ever COVID-19 outbreak (爆发). 

For the past few weeks, surging cases have been seen in the region. Hong Kong health authorities reported 55,353 new COVID-19 cases on March 2 and a record 117 deaths in the 24 hours before, reported Xinhua.
