A giant kite took over the beach in Yantai, Shandong, on May 1. A group of kite lovers tried to fly it. The kite is 60 meters long and shaped like a eurypterid (板足鲎). This  extinct (灭绝的) animal is also called a sea scorpion (蝎子). They lived about 420 million years ago. They were among the largest sea predators (食肉动物) at that time. They could grow to over two meters in length.
