Harini Logan, 14, from Texas, US, won the Scripps National Spelling Bee on June 2. She got a trophy (奖杯) and $50,000 (about 334,000 yuan). The Spelling Bee is a spelling competition in the US. Students have to spell English words in it. Every year, millions of elementary and middle school students take part. This year, Harini’s final winning word was “moorhen (雌红松鸡)”.
