The young Chinese break-dancer has made history again! Liu Qingyi won the World Battle 2022 break dancing contest held in Portugal on Sept 4 after fierce competition with performers from more than 50 countries and regions. In the final, Liu gave a solid performance, presenting a dizzying array of  big moves to claim the championship. This also marked her second win in a month. The first was the champion of the women’s division (组) of the Outbreak 2022 competition held in Slovakia in early August. It was the first time a Chinese break-dancer had won a top international competition. “I want people to see something different every time instead of getting bored with me after the first surprise.” Liu, 16, told the press in an interview after the competition. She hopes to deliver even better performances in the future.
