A massive (巨大的) winter storm hit parts of the US and Canada in recent days. Part of Niagara Falls, which sits on the border (边界) between the two countries, even froze on Dec 27. The storm, known as “the blizzard (暴风雪) of the century”, brought snow, ice and rain to more than half the US, as well as Ontario and Quebec in Canada. It caused thousands of flight cancellations (取消) and left more than 1 million people in the US without power, making Christmas travel total chaos (混乱), Yahoo News reported.
