China’s courier (快递) business saw its delivery volume (快递业务量) reach over 20 billion parcels (包裹) this year by March 8, Xinhua reported. The country’s courier companies hit the 20-billion-parcel mark within the first 67 days of 2023. This record was achieved 72 days earlier than in 2019. This shows the vitality (活力) of China’s express delivery business and that the Chinese consumer (消费) market is speeding up, according to State Post Bureau. Data also show that every day, over 100 million parcels are delivered in rural areas (农村地区).
