Hearthstone, a video game developed by US game maker Blizzard Entertainment, has been removed from the 19th Asian Games to be held in Hangzhou, according to the Olympic Council of Asia. This is because all Blizzard games are now out of service on the Chinese mainland after negotiations (谈判) between the company and its operator NetEase broke down in November 2022, and later the operation team was disbanded (解散). The Hangzhou Asian Games will now feature seven esports events.
