China issued a new set of guidelines on April 12 regarding the use of face masks. It’s no longer mandatory to wear face masks when using public transport, according to new guidelines. People are advised to put on face masks when using public transport and entering supermarkets, movie theaters, and other indoor places with large gatherings. Students likewise don’t have to wear face masks at school. In certain situations, however, wearing face masks is still a must. These include when someone tests positive for COVID-19 or has COVID-like symptoms and when people visit a hospital or a nursing home.
