Videos of groups of Russian tourists coming to Heihe city in Heilongjiang to have breakfast and drink beer have gone viral (走红) on social media recently. Local market vendors (商贩) have even set up Chinese-Russian bilingual (双语的) signs to welcome foreign friends. Starting from Sept 21, tourist groups from both countries can travel between Heihe city and Russia’s Blagoveshchensk visa-free, as it only takes about seven minutes to travel by ship, China News reported. During this year’s National Day Holiday, the number of trips to Heihe was 600,000 and the city also saw more than 2,000 trips across the border each day.
