‘Smart’ dog showing the way: A man tries out RoboDog, a robotic guide dog designed to assist visually impaired (视力障碍的) people in their daily lives, at ETH Zurich (苏黎世联邦理工学院) in Switzerland. The researchers added new sensors to a robot dog already on the market, enabling it to help the visually impaired better avoid obstacles (障碍物). They say that RoboDog isn’t here to replace guide dogs but to offer another choice to the visually impaired who, for whatever reason, can’t have a real guide dog.
