From Dec 16 to 17, 2023, thousands of Pokemon fans gathered for the 2023 Pokemon Masters Shanghai at the city’s National Exhibition and Convention Center. More than 5,000 Pokemon Trading Card players had a fierce game at the table. The Pokemon Trading Card Game is based on the Pokemon franchise. First brought out in Japan in 1996, the two-player game gets players to build decks around cards with Pokemon characters and then take turns using different attacks to try to win over their opponent (对手). The game requires thoughtful planning to win.
