BRICS+ Universities Association (BUA), is the non-profit alliance of higher education institutions from China, Russia, India, Brazil, South Africa and universities from countries joining BRICS+group. It provides a practical platform for communication, networking, and promoting international exchanges among universities worldwide. Yulia Yakovleva, a marketing executive at the BUA, emphasized that the goal of the association aims to become a leading online networking hub for university international offices, focusing solely on academic cooperation. The first ever BRICS+ summit will be held in November 2024 in New Delhi, India. The BUA plans to hold annual summits in BRICS+ nations, aiming to strengthen ties with local governments for future support.
