Comedian and actor Shen Teng has replaced action star Wu Jing as the top-grossing actor in China, thanks to his car racing comedy hit Pegasus 2 (《飞驰人生2》). The combined revenue (收入) of all the films featuring Shen, 44, in a leading role was about 33.501 billion yuan, as of March 25. This surpassed previous champion Wu’s total of 33.495 billion yuan, according to film data platform Maoyan. Since its release during the lucrative (获利丰厚的) Spring Festival movie-going period in February, Pegasus 2 had raced to a remarkable take of 3.39 billion yuan at China’s box office, as of March 31. Other top-grossing movies that feature Shen include Goodbye Mr Loser (《夏洛特烦恼》) and Moon Man (《独行月球》).
